Sydney’s first night

He insisted on taking over about 98 percent of my pillow for most of the night. Needless to say, I’m exhausted due to having no room for my face all night. He spent most of the evening eating, playing and purring. Sounds like a fine combo to me. Ah, kitten life.

So far, this morning, we’ve been taking photos, vid clips and playing with kitten toys. It’s amazing how you can end up with a million kitten scratches in various places and not even remember getting them. You certainly find them all when you go to wash your hands, though. Sigh.

Side note, kittens are not graceful. Sydney has now fallen off the bed twice and out of my clothes basket once. Those purrs though.

He’s home!

He’s been very playful. He was so engrossed in playing with his toy at one point, that he fell off the bed. Thankfully, my bed is on the floor, so not a very hard drop. As we were bringing him inside, my husband gave him to me to hold. He then proceeded to attack the crap out of me while we were outside. Had to put on some ointment. All fine though.

I can’t wait to see who he chooses to sleep with tonight. Our oldest  of the 2 cats is already trying to mother him. She started immediately trying to clean him. The younger one thought it would be better to start a hissing match with him. Spoiler alert, Sydney won. Sydney 1, Morrigan 0. Haha.

I’ll update when I can next. His photos are all over our facebook already. I love his little kitten mews. Just, awwww. Until next time, purrs to you.

Sydney and family

Intro post

We are a family of 3. My husband, 2 year old son and myself. To start this off, as of now, we have 2 kitties. Faye and Morrigan. We also have a bunny called Moonmist. The bunny is 2, Morrigan is 2 and Faye is 6.

As of tomorrow, our number of kitties will change from 2 to 3. This blog is created to keep up with the journey of our newest addition to our family, Sydney. We have been looking to adopt again for quite a while now and he’s finally almost here. If you wish to keep up with the life and times of Sydney the kitten, please subscribe to this blog.

This blog is intended for friends, family, Sydney’s original family as well as members of various cat groups we are a part of. We hope you keep up with us and Sydney’s life through this blog. Photos will also be posted here. I will update this as much and as often as I can.
